As Halloween is approaching, traders and investors are focusing on the ups and downs of the market. However, not many people are aware of the existence of a Halloween strategy, also known as the Halloween effect. This strategy is based on the idea that stocks tend to perform better from October 31st (Halloween) to May 1st, compared to the period from the beginning of May to the end of October, commonly called "sell in May and go away".
